Application Process

  1. Contact the program coordinator to set up an appointment to come to UHS for a meeting with parent, student, and program coordinator.

  2. If the program seems like a good fit for the student, an application packet is provided.

  3. The application consists of a section for the student, three letters of recommendation, and a credit check to be completed by the school counselor. When all sections are complete, the entire packet is returned to the UHS program coordinator.

  4. Once the complete application packet is received, the program coordinator will schedule a final interview with the student.

  5. Following the interview, both the program coordinator and counselor utilize a rubric to determine if the student is a good fit for the program

  6. The student is notified within a week as to whether they are accepted or not.

  7. Once the student is accepted into the UHS program, he/she registers as a Silver Creek High School student but will have access to all classes, programs, and activities throughout the district.

  8. The student then meets with the program coordinator to create a new schedule.
