Universal High School Program (UHS) is a program that serves the St. Vrain Valley School District and is housed at Silver Creek High School.

The program's mission/philosophy is to:

• Provide an alternative pathway to a high school diploma for highly able and motivated students that is:

  Standards-based
  Independently designed
  Rigorous (Proficiency is required in all literacy and numeracy classes)
  Innovative
  Flexible

• Help students design their own secondary education and develop life-long learning skills.

We are looking for students who enjoy learning and want to become life-long learners, but who feel confined by the traditional school system.  In order to be successful in this program, students need exceptional intellectual abilities and/or talents coupled with strong basic skills.
